The Federal government of Nigeria has through the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has begun an Investigation into Competition and Possible Consumer Rights Violations by DSTV, GOTV, and other PayTV service providers in the country.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the commission said the investigation was coming aftermath several complaints they receive over the past 24 months.
The investigation, according to the commission would look into “unfair dealings, unreasonable and manifestly unjust contract terms, abuse of market power, computable pricing practices and other otherwise obnoxious or illegal conduct”.
