In an effort to ensure the efficient distribution and monitoring of Palliatives and Ramadan feeding in various Local Government Areas in Niger State. The state Governor, Farmer Umar Bago, has declared Monday to Friday next week as public holidays. This move is aimed at allowing Civil Servants and Political office holders to fully participate in this exercise.
The statement however noted that essential workers such as Security Agents, Health Personnel, Educational Institutions who are taking part in end of Term and Semester Exams in all the Schools in the State will not be affected by this declaration.
The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Hon Binta Mamman who made this announcement in a Press Statement from her office, cease the opportunity to encourage Nigerlites to use the period to pray for peace and tranquility within our State and Nation as a whole.
Furthermore, while urging Civil Servants and Political office holders to see their participation in this exercise as a call for service to humanity, the commissioner also called on citizens to cooperate with officials at all distribution and feeding points for a smooth and successful outcome. The Commissioner expressed gratitude towards Governor Mohammed Umar Bago for making funds available for this project and prayed that Allah (SWT) guides him in running the affairs of the State.
