Multichoice Nigeria has announced an increase in the prices of its DStv and GOtv packages in Nigeria four months after its last increment.

The company reviewed prices in its packages across board, in its text messages sent to customers, the new prices are expected to take effect on 1st of May, 2024.

This recent increase in the prices of its packages is its fourth time in three years the last was in March 2022.

In a statement titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages’, signed by its Chief Executive Officer, John Ugbe, sent to its customers said the increase was necessitated by the rise in the cost of business operations.

The Premium package on DSTV which used to cost N29,500, would now go for N37,000, while the Compact Plus which currently goes for N19,800, has been increased to N25,000.

Below is the current increment across its packages;

DSTV new prices- Premium 37,000; Compact Plus 25,000; Compact 15,700; Confam 9,300; Yanga 5,100; Padi3,600; HDPVR Access Service 5,000; Access Fees 5,000; XtraView 5,000.

GOtv new prices- Supa+ 15,700; Supa 9,600; Max 7,200; Jolli 4,850; Jinja 3,300; Smallie 1,575.

This increment is between 17.5 percent and 20 percent across all the packages.
