Following the announcement by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) mandating all Telecom service providers to link the National Identification Number (NIN) to the database of mobile phone users within two weeks. Mobile telecom giant MTN has open an online portal where its users can link their NIN to their mobile number on the MTN Nigeria network.
The announcement by the mobile telecom giant comes just days after the announcement by NCC. Follow the steps below to link yours before the expiration of the deadline;
1. Visit www.mtnonline.com/nim/otp A notice stating that “This is solely for the purpose of collating NIN pending when verification of the submitted NIN is completed through NCC/NIMC”
2. Nevertheless, proceed to fill the form, requesting your names, phone number, NIN, and email address.
3. After submission, an OTP will be sent to your phone to complete the process.
