Mobile telecom service provider, Airtel Nigeria, has rolled out walk-in centers in its retail outlets across the country where Nigerians can enroll for the National Identity Number (NIN) registration exercise, starting with selected retail outlets in Lagos and Abuja.

Speaking on the development, Segun Ogunsanya, the Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, commended the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Pantami, for expanding the NIN registration outlets, saying “Airtel is always seeking opportunities to cooperate and partner with the Nigerian government on initiatives that will make life easier and better for Nigerians.

In a statement made public by the telco giant, residents of Abuja could visit Transcorp Hilton Hotel Mataima or Airtel showrooms at Carpet Plaza and Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse 2.

Lagos residents can now walk into Airtel centers in the following areas for NIN registration;
• Airtel Express Point, Oyin Jolayemi, Victoria Island
• Airtel showroom in Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere, Lagos.
• Airtel showroom in Tejuosho, Yaba
• Airtel showroom Isheri Road, Ogba
• Airtel showroom in Oba Akran, Ikeja

Work is currently ongoing to expand the NIN footprints to cover more areas and states.
