GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT
REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS (RFA) NO. 19-001
ENGAGING LOCAL ACTORS TO PROMOTE PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AMONG FARMERS AND HEADERS IN TARABA STATE. (TCMR)
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 5:00PM ON 7 MAY, 2019

PURPOSE OF RFA
Pact West Africa is pleased to release this Request for Applications (RFA) announcing the availability of funding for local, non-governmental, community and faith-based organizations (NGOs/CBOs/FBGs) to Implement a Conflict Management and reconciliation intervention to promote peaceful co-existence among farmers and headers in Taraba State.

FUNDING ELIGIBILITY
Applicant organizations must:
(a) Demonstrate work experience in Taraba State for a minimum of 1 year prior to submission of the response to this RFA; and
(b) Be legally registered with the relevant authorities (i.e. Corporate Affairs Commission, Local Government etc.).

Preference will be given to organizations with an established office in Taraba, Wukari, Gassoi, Gashaka, and Bali LGAs and demonstrable experience in;
(a) Management of grants;
(b) Conflict mitigation and management, resolution and reconciliation with communities.
(c) Working within local communities at LGA village level to foster peace through the convening of peace meetings, town hall dialogue, women and youth engagement, and promoting alternative dispute resolution efforts

Under this RFA, Pact will not fund;
(a) Public International Organizations, such as United Nations entities;
(b) Government agencies;
(c) For-profit organizations; or
(d) Organizations that are not registered in Nigeria.

BASIC AWARD INFORMATION
It is estimated that 3 grants will be issued from this RFA and grants will range in value from NGN5,000,000.00 to NGN 5,400,000.00 per organization. The number of awards and amount of funding available is subject to change.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Below is a summary of the application process.

Step A

(2) Completed and signed application form, detailed proposal, and required attachments must be submitted to Pact West Africa in both hard copy (4 copies) and electronic copy (in CD-ROM). All application must be received by Pact Nigeria not later than 5:30pm Nigeria time on Tuesday, 7 May, 2019. At Pact’s discretion, late applications may not be considered
(3) Pact Nigeria will review all applications to ensure compliance with this RFA, Applications that fail to meet the full application requirements as listed on the full RFA document will not proceed.

Waiver:
Distributing this guidance does not mean there is any commitment on the part of Pact West Africa to fund an applicant, nor does it mean that pact Nigeria will pay for any costs in incurred by any organization in the process of submission of an application. Furthermore, pact West Africa reserves the right to reject any or all applications, or to award a grant without further discussions if it considered being in the best interests of the Organisation. Final Award will be made based on the availability of funds to Pact. Pact reserves the right to call off this solicitation at any time or adjust the terms to meet project needs and resources availability.
